Take a look at what the chapters in NORTH DAKOTA are doing this month!

Ashley:

We ended 2025 with a very informative meeting that took place on December 5th. In the meeting, we discussed potential professional days to help us reach the Go for Gold award. We decided that December 10th was one of the dress up days, and members dressed according to the FBLA dress code. Next on our agenda, middle and high school members shared their progress on BBA’s. We briefly touched base on possible events for State FBLA, but we did decide that January 20th would be our work night to focus more on these events. Finally, we ended the meeting with a decision to sell pizzas beginning in January for a fundraiser. Ashley FBLA is working towards a bright future for 2026!

Burke Central:

We delivered our pizzas from our fundraiser. We also made our drinks we do every week. We had teams place top 10 in the stock market game. We had a student be picked for the state ” I Voted” sticker. We also had our monthly meeting to keep members up to date on chapter activities.

Carrington:

To start the month, we had our annual FBLA soup and salad supper. We host this event before the high school Christmas Concert so that community members can come in for a few bowls of soup before enjoying the concert. This event is always enjoyed by our community members, and we had an especially great turn out this year! A week later, we held our American Heart Association bake sale. We do this bake sale after the elementary Christmas concert, and it helps to bring a large amount of funds in to our accounts. We sold out in a half hour! Our chapter held a professional dress day, and a T-shirt day, and our monthly officer meeting. Due to a snow day, our all-member meeting was canceled for this month. Our chapter started our jerky fundraiser to help lower the costs of the state leadership conference. We ended the month by making Christmas treat bags to our local nursing home, but unfortunately we were unable to deliver them due to weather and sickness. Our officers worked on Champion Chapter activities to be submitted in January.

High School:

This month, the Drake-Anamoose FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Chapter has been very active. At their monthly meeting, they had a white elephant gift exchange and a study night after that. They held a study night for all members attending the State Leadership Conference. This was so they could work on their competitive events in preparation. They have also been keeping up with the concession stands at home games as well as their coffee shop, which is student-run. They recently added new features to the coffee shop, including new countertops. The high school also had a market day to celebrate the American Enterprise System. They sold items such as homemade cookies, pizzas, fries, breaded pickles, Italian sodas, and Shirley Temples.

Grand Forks Central High School:

December was a busy month for GFC FBLA. We started the month out with a tour of UND’s Nistler College of Business and Public Administration. We had many members that attended the tour and we were even honored with a former GFC FBLA member as a presenter. The tour allowed was very well done for our students and the students that attended were very satisfied with how it went. We finished our community service project. We had three different parts of this project which included a food drive, a fundraiser for Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, and Christmas Gift drive. We raised over 360 pounds of food, over $500 for our Fundraiser, and donated over 300 gifts for 160 students in the Grand Forks Area. Finally, we wrapped up December with a chapter meeting discussing our upcoming fundraiser for the State Leadership Conference and had a guest speaker. Our Guest Speaker was Matt Fischer, CEO of Probitas Promotions. He talked about his path to becoming a CEO and how he plans to use AI to help improve his business and sales.

Hazen High School:

In the month of December, our FBLA chapter completed tasks for ND Go for the Gold and also for Champion Chapter. One of our main events was that we volunteered our time at Sakakawea Medical Center helping with the Giving Tree Project. The Giving Tree is a local event where people in our community can buy gifts for those families who are less fortunate. This year, the project gave 31 families in our community gifts, toiletry items, and grocery store gift cards. Our FBLA members volunteered to wrap, sort, and tag all the gifts. We also held a Students in Service event during the month of December. Elementary students came to the school and were able to watch a Christmas movie while also participating in station activities. Our middle school and high school students helped the younger students with the activities. In one station, they played just dance and other brain break games. The other two stations made ornaments. The elementary students were able to take one ornament home and we were able to give one ornament to each of the residents of Senior Suites in our community to make their Christmas a little brighter.

Linton High School:

This month, the Linton FBLA chapter started the Christmas season off with a Christmas party where we decorated gingerbread houses, had pizza, and worked on our competitive events.
We had hosted a bake sale fundraiser at our Elementary Christmas concert. Our chapter held a hygiene drive for the VA hospital, as well as wrote thank you notes to veterans that will go with the items to continue our community service project. Our officers met to plan our work for the Service Season submissions.

Minot North High School:

This month our chapter did one of our community service activities by volunteering in the Miracle of Christmas event put on by the Vincent United Methodist Church. We also held our chapter Christmas party with food and games, including our white elephant. Finally at the end of the month we had a candy cane scavenger hunt for FBLA members right before break.

Stanley High School:

During December, our chapter held an officer meeting to review our Program of Work and finalize plans for December and January. For a change of pace, we met at a local coffee shop and plan to continue exploring alternative meeting locations to keep members engaged. We handed out State Leadership Conference (SLC) forms and once again have the requirement that members complete at least one level of the Business Achievement Awards (BAA) to attend. By starting this process early, several members have already completed a BAA level, and we are recognizing their achievements by sharing their photos online. Our chapter also received a grant to purchase FBLA-branded chapter sweaters. These sweaters are awarded to members upon completion of a BAA level, serving as both recognition and chapter branding. On December 14, we hosted a Christmas Party and BAA work night. Members decorated and filled stockings for all Stanley High School teachers, which were distributed the following week. The project was very well received, and we received positive feedback from staff. As the month wrapped up, members focused on selecting competitive events and continuing preparations for SLC. Overall, excitement and participation are steadily growing as we head into the new year.

Ray:

This month was a busy and successful one for Ray FBLA. We kicked things off with our annual Turkey Bingo, where members served food and played bingo with community attendees. We had 17 members volunteer, and 62 people came out to play. The event raised $2,343, and after $700 in expenses, we earned a total profit of $1,643. We also wrapped up our food bank project, finishing the counting, loading, and delivery of all donations. Thanks to strong community support, we collected over 1,800 items, totaling just over 1,600 pounds of food for the drive. This month we were excited to welcome three new junior high members who joined through our essay contest. We also had the honor of hosting Abby Willenbring, former Ray FBLA member and state officer, who spoke to us about effective presenting and fundraising strategies. To keep everything running smoothly, members attended three work nights throughout the month. Overall, it was a productive month full of service, learning, and growth for Ray FBLA.

Tioga Public School:

The month of December was a great one for our FBLA Chapter. We were able to accomplish and complete a lot of goals we had set. Our chapter had the opportunity to help cater two city events. This helped us give opportunities to our members, and helped them learn formal etiquette. Our chapter also began serving concessions as a way to raise money for our chapter. This began in early December, and we will continue to do it throughout the basketball season. Our chapter designed t-shirts and sweatshirts for our members to purchase. This was a good way to raise money, because our chapter will be able to represent FBLA by wearing the clothes they purchased. At our monthly chapter meeting, we discussed when we could hold work-days for our members to work on their events for State. As well as organize a chapter fun night which will be January 11th. We were also able to discuss our progress with the Go for North Dakota Gold and the Champion Chapter. Overall, December was an eventful and excellent month for our chapter.

Wishek:

For the month of December our chapter had our monthly meeting discussing event options. We also sold blankets with our school mascot as a fundraiser. Our chapter also ran concessions for a home boys basketball game.

Thank you to all of the Chapters who submitted their news!
